Secondary Educator / Acquired a Master of Teaching (Secondary) after previously completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Environments) and a Bachelor of Business Management. I have experience in a broad range of content areas and an overriding passion for improving kids understanding and application of content. I have a belief that students learn through experiences in and out of the classroom and teachers should focus on producing well balanced, multi-skilled with strong values that reflect their school community.In my current role I have written curriculum for VPC and VM Numeracy, driving a new problem solving program, developed structures around student thinking and collaboration. Developed my skills in creating engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and applying to to their lives outside the classroom, resulting in improved student engagement, comprehension and achievement. Further, having a proven track record of cultivating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to express themselves.I'm excited to connect with fellow educators, school administrators, and anyone passionate about education.
