As a QA engineer for the past four years, I have gained a lot of experience in software testing and quality assurance. My role involves ensuring that software products meet the required quality standards and are free from bugs and errors. In my day-to-day work, I use various programs and testing software to achieve this goal.One of the primary tools I use as a manual QA engineer is test management software. This software helps me to organize and manage the testing process, from creating test cases to tracking defects. Some of the popular test management software I have worked with include TestRail, HP ALM, and JIRA.Another crucial aspect of my work as a QA engineer is reporting bugs and defects. To do this effectively, I use bug tracking software such as JIRA, Bugzilla, and Mantis. These tools enable me to report bugs in a structured manner, including detailed steps to reproduce the issue and screenshots or video recordings.Finally, I also work with collaboration and communication tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Skype to stay in touch with the development team and other stakeholders. These tools help me to communicate issues, updates, and test results in real-time, ensuring everyone is aware of the testing progress and any issues that need attention.Overall, my experience as a QA engineer has been challenging and rewarding. Working with various programs and testing software has helped me to develop my skills and become a more effective tester.
