The remote support technician is responsible for providing IT technical remote support to customers who may or may not be local and have called in tickets for their issues. The types of support offered range from troubleshooting described issues (physical or software), installing/removing/repairing software, helping customers locked out of accounts, troubleshooting mobile devices while on chat or phone, and helping route help tickets for support that is out of scope. The scope of customers which are supported, unlike the level 1 technician, is on a global scale and as such, support and assistance are coordinated with those customers for when they can best be attended.Support is carried out via a mix of phone, IM, and remote control.
