I began my studies with a desire to understand ecology in order to address challenges society faces. Questions about clean water and air, responsible use and conservation of natural resources, and alternatives to traditional systems. This desire found professional expression as a science teacher. Desiring to help connect students to their studies led me to embrace project-based learning and design challenges. This reflects the current science standards that students should learn science by doing as well as reading, listening, and writing. After thirteen years of teaching, the opportunity to work in student travel invited me to expand my horizons and begin in a new industry. While still working for the benefit and learning of students, I am learning to craft bespoke travel opportunities for student groups (emphasis on choirs, bands, and orchestras).
