Serve as Senior Vice President of Liberty Bank, Connecticut's largest mutual bank with $7.5 billion in assets headquartered in Middletown, CT. My primary focus is management of the Commercial Real Estate Department, overseeing a portfolio of in excess of $2.45 billion in loans located throughout the Northeast. My background includes serving as a senior voting member of Credit Committee and 38 years of experience in providing customized financing solutions for investors in commercial real estate. In my current role as Manager of the CRE department, I am responsible for a team of experts focused on building long-term banking relationships and specializing in the origination of permanent and construction mortgages in Connecticut and Western, Ma. in the preferred range of $5 million to $75 million. Other territories covered include the rest of New England, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. My experience includes sourcing and managing complex negotiations with top-tier customers, developing and implementing strategic initiatives for business/product development and regular interaction with the Board of Directors and the Executive Management Team to ensure alignment with and execution on the strategic plan. My personal skill set also includes demonstrated success in team building, employee selection and development, conflict management and troubled asset management/resolution. I have completed numerous senior level leadership and sales skill development seminars/course work including the Leadership Institute, Omega, Dale Carnegie and Harvard Business School to name a few. My background includes formal RMA credit training and completion of all Society of RE Appraisers course work.
