Provided leadership, strategic vision, guidance, and day-to-day operations. Created policies and procedures, initial program development, marketing strategies, fundraising, grant writing, public relations, communication and regulatory compliance. In January of 2015, launched a capital campaign to create a disabled veteran family retreat, once the Maine Chance Lodge owned by cosmetics pioneer Elizabeth Arden. My role expanded to include scope of work development, construction budgeting, financing of the property, lodge rehabilitation, architectural design preservation of artifacts, and acting construction oversight of eight trades including demolition, excavation, foundation, masonry, building jacking, HVAC, well drilling, and general construction. Twenty acre site included five (5) primary buildings. Also worked diligently to create solid corporate partnerships for in-kind donations as well as important community volunteer relationships with local schools, civic organizations, other veteran service organizations, and businesses. I also used my strong communication and leadership skills to foster unique corporate and civic relationships which resulted in highly successful local and national fundraising campaigns. As a result, I lead the foundation's fundraising efforts increasing their cash over 30 fold and created over $3 million in total assets for the organization during the same time period. My focus, passion, drive and determination enabled the foundation to fulfill and expand its mission.
