I'm a graphic designer for Amicus Publishing which specializes in children's books, PreK–5. I'm responsible for designing new books for each of our series, designing marketing and sales materials, as well as E-mail marketing tools. Overall layout of the books and text placement are up to my discretion, which then gets passed to the editor and production manager for approvals. Once approved I'm responsible for creating print ready files with the correct color profiles, within each printer specifications, as well as creating the e-books for all seasons.

As a director I'm in charge of 'punching the show' which means operating the Kahuna board and using the scripts from the anchor to make sure I select the right camera, video source as they have produced. It is also my job to make sure we stay on time and figure out ways to cut content, promotional spots, and any other items so we meet up with network at our allotted time. It is a very stressful, fast past environment where 5 seconds seems like 10 minutes with the amount of things you can accomplish and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Preflight customers artwork to fit our templates, correct color, clean up artwork, redraw logos and re typeset stationery products. Setup orders for numbering and data merges as well as oversee high profile accounts to ensure all artwork is sent to press correctly.

Successfully manage and coordinate graphic design projects from concept through completion. Collaborate with clients to create their vision, conceive designs, and consistently meet deadlines and requirements. Expertly convert features to benefits to achieve client objectives. Manage operational, strategic, designing, and quote/bid functions for clients.

I am responsible for shooting, editing, and producing DVD's for companies. We have done many videos that are safety/training/and promotional videos for various companies in the area. I also specialize in wedding videos, DVD slideshows for customers and various other projects. Also we have been awarded many different titled awards from the Iowa Motion Picture Association for videos that I have created.

Oversee and complete tasks to create safety, training, promotional, and varied marketing videos for clients. Tasks included: videography, audio supervision, lighting, editing, and DVD authoring. Developed a major account with Berkley Pure Fishing, handling their entire video library and responsible for all duplication and conversions of videos. Personally connected with each client to ensure optimal outcomes. Earned numerous industry awards in multiple categories for videos, including 2007 Award of Achievement and Excellence for Appearance is Image (USPS), 2007 Achievement Award for Corporate and Community Marketing (Goodrich Turbine Fuel Technologies), and 2007 Achievement Award for Iowa Great Lakes Remebers Documentary. Extended services included filming of weddings, private parties, assemble display monitors that play specialty videos in retail stores, and school musical functions.
