During my time with UTC, I served as the Continuous Improvement Manager for the Los Angeles Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO) Facility. I served as the facility subject matter expert (SME) for all continuous improvement activities. This included the development and implementation of an employee training plan (60 full-time employees), preparation of strategic planning sessions (monthly, quarterly, etc.), and providing ongoing employee coaching on the application of Six Sigma/Lean tools.This position also required me to facilitate or lead monthly root cause analysis sessions to address quality nonconformances or process bottlenecks and apply mistake-proofing techniques. In 2017, I managed three rapid-improvement events (voice of the customer, value stream mapping, SOP development) made up of cross-functional teams to identify about $320,000 in cost savings. Routine duties also included the preparation of data analysis and reporting to monitor performance indicators such as on-time delivery (OTD), actual versus planned volume, and "re-work” metrics.

During my military career, I served in multiple leadership positions. I attended formal military school to enhance Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and leadership skills on two separate occasions.Some of my personal accomplishments during this time include: directing 9 quarterly inventories of all assigned equipment to ensure proper accountability, sustaining 100% accountability of all assigned equipment worth more than $63.5 million, and providing support in the end-to-end process for more than 20 training exercises.
