I worked hard to put my creativity and organizational skills to develop a successful cross-platform brand marketing.Working as a one-man marketing department brings with it some limitations but also offers a lot of latitude. I oversaw all aspects of our marketing campaigns, including inception, production, post-production, and execution.

Feb 2012 - Dec 2015

Marketing Intern

Orange County, California Area

In short:• Conception and implementation of Mercedes-Benz digital marketing initiatives, buildingsocial media infrastructure. In detail:When I started my internship at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in October 2010, the potential social media offers for businesses and brands to connect with their customers was still relatively untapped. Facebook had just surpassed 500 million users (now at over 1.7 billion), Twitter had about 50 million active users per month (now over 300 million), and a new mysteriously photo-based platform called "Instagram" was just about to launch.Mercedes-Benz Classic was what somewhat of an early adopter, having started its Facebook page already in 2009. When I arrived, I was asked to define a social media strategy, how to tie it into the overall balancing act of brand and retail marketing, and how to develop a unique voice within the Mercedes-Benz social media community. This community spawned new accounts by the hour and soon every international Mercedes-Benz sales organization, and most dealerships along with the various sub-brands would be competing with their own channels for users attention and interaction.I introduced a healthy mix of brand history content, live coverage of events, promotions and offered our social media audience an exclusive insight into the Classic Center's previously inaccessible workshop environment — breathing contemporary life into historically-relevant content.Within a year we had surpassed 10K followers on Facebook, had set up a strategy for extending our presence to Twitter, Instagram, and Google+. A company-internal study in summer of 2011 recognized our Facebook page as the benchmark performer of all Mercedes-Benz retailers globally.I was fortunate enough that this success and future plans warranted a full-time marketing position within the Classic group in the United States.
