Flocktree works with corporations placing expats abroad, to help them meet the needs of their expat employees. The beta site is up and running.

[Based in Brazil for 4 years, where my husband was working for BG Group].Board member of the Community Development Committee of the International Club of Rio de Janeiro: - The CDC fundraises amongst the international community, decides how to allocate funds between NGOs and works with those NGOs - I was responsible for the CDC's relationship with Luta Pela Paz, an NGO operating in a violent and impoverished favela of Rio de Janeiro. Made monthly visits and ran events. Luta Pela Paz runs sport, education and social inclusion programmes which help prevent young people in the favela of Complexo do Mare from entering the violent drugs trade by giving them a brighter future.PTA committee member, Rio International School: - Responsible for communications. Part of an active committee trying to improve the school. Helped run fundraising eventsOrganised events within British community of Rio de Janeiro - Organised a large Scottish Dancing Family Event with a visiting live Scottish band, a Jubilee party for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012, and helped organise an event to celebrate the Royal Wedding in 2011.Other: - Co-founder of a very active Facebook forum group for expat mothers in Barra, Rio de Janeiro - Single-handedly organised successful fundraising event for Lar Tia Edna, an orphanage in Sao Paulo - Member of the Organising Committee for 'Celebration of the World', an international fair showcasing different countries at Graded School of Sao Paulo, Brazil

Senior Planner for Ogilvy & Mather's GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Health account, working on both Global and UK brands and advertising as lead agency. Worked directly with GSK's VP for Marketing & Innovation on a long-term strategic project researching innovations in the weight-loss market in the US and Europe, understanding consumer needs in detail, and the potential for different products. Developed brand positioning for potential products. Smoking Cessation - worked on the global roll out of new products in the smoking control category. Through research identified consumer insights on people quitting smoking, developed advertising strategy and launched new NiQuitin CQ Lozenge, gum and clear patch products in different markets. GSK's smoking control products saw dramatic growth and increased market share.Planner for several Prescription to OTC switches, involved in consumer research, developing the brand positioning for new products and subsequently the launch advertising. (Imigran, Zanprol, Eumovate).Panadol - as Senior Planner globally on the the Panadol brand I as part of a team that developed advertising in many different markets, using one global advertising idea but local consumer insight to produce local ads. The very popular adverts produced did not feature pain or pills.

The work often focused on improving the effectiveness of the sales, marketing and customer services functions. Bridgewater itself grew from 20 to 50 employees during my employment.Example Projects:Early Learning Centre - several projects over a few years looking at how educational toy retailer ELC could grow from an initial position of having stable like-for-likes sales. Conducted in-depth analysis of what drove ELC sales, competitor analysis, review and outsourcing of their mail-order fulfilment. The business successfully grew.Laporte Chemicals - looking at how the Ultrapure Chemicals Division could grow by meeting its hi-tech customers' needs more closely. Health Education Authority - examined how the HEA could make revenue from endorsing healthy products. A second project examined in more detail the potential within the sun protection market, evaluated successful endorsement schemes around the world, and made in-depth recommendations for a successful endorsement scheme. The HEA subsequently established an endorsement scheme.Other clients: BBC, Virgin Megastores, Railtrack, Cable & Wireless, Burton Group
