As the Director of Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Kiva NWA at Startup Junkie, she spearheads initiatives aimed at empowering small businesses and underserved entrepreneurs by enhancing access to capital and essential resources. Under her leadership, the annual funds allocated to Kiva loans in Northwest Arkansas have increased by 2.5 times, all while maintaining an exceptional repayment rate. Notably, over 80% of these loans are directed toward underserved communities, fostering greater equity and economic opportunity in the region. Claudia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the region's economic and workforce development opportunities. Holding a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Workforce Development from the University of Arkansas, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Strategic Communication from the University of the Ozarks, she is well-versed in capital access management, workforce development, and advocacy. A native of Costa Rica and fluent in both English and Spanish, Claudia excels in building strong connections and fostering meaningful relationships across diverse communities. Claudia is deeply committed to advocating for Tourette Syndrome and neurodiversity, using her personal experiences to champion the creation of inclusive environments both in and out of the workplace. Her passion for empowering others is matched by her determination to dismantle barriers, redefine what is possible, and pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive future.
