• Maintain and improve the mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable and incident-free operations by troubleshooting, testing and repairing all types of instruments including but not limited to pneumatic, electronic and digital transmitters and controllers, and switches • Repair and tune various types of control valves associated with process instrumentation • Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair and reassemble various equipment to ensure safety, environmental and product quality• Perform bench calibrations, repair and install instruments, and execute integrity checks, accuracy, and functionality of equipment • Install and set pressure, temperature, flow, level switches and monitor devices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment• Provide technical assistance to production and engineering groups on application and modification of new and existing process instrumentation• Troubleshoot equipment failures, analyze conditions and provide recommendations for improvements• Document, maintain and update instrument department records as required to track repairs, specifications and equipment history

• Manage the spare parts to assure 100% uptime on the interlock systems, distributed control systems, and other critical control systems• Lead area support for major vendor supplied control systems, such as packaged compressor controls• Maintain DCS communication network and manage key specialty control systems, such as PLC• Troubleshoot safety systems and control systems based on relay, PLC, or DCS logic • Implement solutions to close identify performance and reliability gaps in area control • Provide support for root cause failure analysis of operating problems• Support the instrument, control and electrical design and implementation of major projects• Provide daily process control support to the operations, maintenance, and engineering groups

• Hand-picked to be the Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Liaison to implement a new technology (N213) at the Orange facility• Successfully implemented at the Orange site which resulted in a higher yield at lower cost, more efficient and cleaner (reduction of Benzene), and increased company profits making Invista an industry leader• Assisting with the design, installation, implementation, and startup for the N213 project• Collaborate with technical and research departments in designing new equipment as well as modify existing equipment to be re-used or abandoned• Responsible for the instrumental/electrical maintenance needs of the equipment installed, modified, and removed from service• Ensure proper communication between field mechanics and supervision to keep them informed of the project’s progression

• Oversee the ADN unit which consists of the installation, troubleshooting, and repairing of electrical, instrument, and analyzer equipment including: pressure, flow, level, and temperature sensors• Install, troubleshoot, and repair motor control circuits• Perform PM’s on various process instruments• Troubleshoot safety systems and control systems based on relay, PLC, or DCS logic• Document all work activities and provide feedback for continual improvement• Routinely calibrate field instrumentation using standards and various measurement devices
