Cody Bailey has been a broadcast meteorologist since April 2015. He graduated from Ball State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Meteorology/Climatology Major with a GIS Minor. During his time at Ball State, he was a 4 year member of WCRD 91.3 FM, the student-run FCC-affiliated radio station, where he had been both the Assistant Chief and Chief Weather Forecaster. His biggest highlight from WCRD was doing 5-plus hours of severe weather coverage, including 3 hours of wall-to-wall coverage, for the November 2013 tornado outbreak. Cody was also a 2 year member of NewsLink Indiana, Ball State's television station, where he used WSI and WSI Max weather graphics system. Cody was also a 4 year member of the Ball State Storm Chase Team (2 years as Secretary). He is also SkyWarn Spotter Certified.
