As a desk worker at Saint Louis University, I have numerous responsibilities and duties. I monitor residents coming into and out of the dorms, providing a layer of security to the building. I have to be alert, attentive, and knowledgeable to the residents entering the building. Also, I am trained in basic campus security procedures, such as what to do in case of a fire alarm, intoxicated residents, or any other public safety issues. To perform such duties, I have to prove that I am trustworthy, knowledgeable, and aware of my surroundings. Having those three qualities are important, since desk security is a vital part of the campus security structure.

This involved thorough, extensive, and informational research into each satellite to update arguably the best satellite database in the world. Having an experience like this from the university strengthens my research and teamwork capabilities.
