About Tim Condon

I’m excited about taking on the challenges of decarbonizing our economy and making it sustainable. I have the strategic vision to see things that don’t exist and the skills to turn them into reality. My deep understanding of energy and financial markets have helped me launch many successful ventures. My strong background in sales, fundraising, and investment banking have helped me to raise the necessary capital. I excel at finding the right people and bringing them together to form highly-effective teams that transform businesses, the environment, and people’s lives. After recognizing a great possibility for the Shedd Aquarium and the Chicago museum campus—I made it happen. I developed interest in the creation of a solar energy storage backup, secured the funding, and brought all the players together to develop it. This $2.5M, 1.0MW unit is the first project of its kind in the PJM (a regional transmission organization). This solar project enhances the museum’s sustainably and dramatically cuts both emissions and costs. It is the cornerstone of the museum campus microgrid. The Shedd Aquarium project so impressed the company that built the storage unit, a new entrant into the storage unit market, that they hired me to help them build demand for their products. Within six months, I had built a $30M pipeline. I spearheaded an $11M rural electrification project in India that benefitted over 10,000 families with solar storage units that brought them electricity plus internet for the first time. I personally secured an investment of $2M from Microsoft, then identified a manufacturer in China who helped with the design and production of small devices that individual families can use to store electricity. But we still faced the formidable option of getting these devices to people who can’t afford to buy them. I negotiated an agreement with an Indian non-banking finance corporation to create a method of determining the credit worthiness of rural customers who had no bank accounts. I’m currently playing a key role in the formation of a startup utility tasked with modernizing the power grid in Puerto Rico after the ravages of Hurricane Maria.Contact me to discuss energy and decarbonization issues: condon.tim@gmail.comSpecialtiesStructured Project Finance | Investment Banking | Fundraising | New Market Entry & Business Development | Sustainability & Strategic Master Planning | Deal Sourcing for Private Equity | Investor Compliance | Supply Chain De-Carbonization |Utility Scale Infrastructure Challenges |New Product Commercialization & Compliance
