About Cora Storvold

I bring award-winning change communication planning and execution, and a passion for facilitating leadership development and employee participation.A career highlight is certainly my eight years of leading corporate-wide health and safety communication for a large organization of 15,000+ employees. This role demanded extensive collaboration across multiple disciplines, leadership levels and personalities, and included project management of high-profile, complex campaigns. I gained invaluable insight into the challenges and opportunities at various levels of an organization, in vastly different cultures and lines of business. My communication experience includes corporate and leadership communication, integrated marketing-communication, issues and reputation management, brand stewardship, media relations, and public and employee engagement. Most recently, I delved into the world of website development and search engine optimization for a personal project. Highlights:- Expertise in corporate communication, leadership support and employee engagement. Led corporate-wide health and safety communication for eight years (15,000+ employees).- Recipient of prestigious international award for change management communication in the area of workplace health and safety. Evaluator's quote: "The challenges you faced were overcome with consultation and collaboration...The implementation plan includes best practice change management techniques that likely helped you exceed your objectives." (See Accomplishments section for more information.)- Growing an affiliate website to advance my skills in website development, search engine optimization and content marketing. (See Accomplishments section for more information.)- Trained in project management, issues communication and facilitating public participation.Quote from Training Lead on Award-Winning Project:“My work with Cora opened my eyes to how strategic communications works to create large-scale culture/behaviour change… the idea that you start with the outcome/business goal, and you build a ‘web’ of support for employees to get to that goal. That you don’t achieve behaviour change with posters alone, but you need to integrate communications, training, and leadership support to get to those bigger outcomes. Cora really seemed to get that and was so adept at ‘nudging’ senior leaders and the project team in that direction.”
