Omega Steel Inc. is our reinforcing (rebar) steel installation company. Core Steel Inc. is our reinforcing (rebar) steel fabrication company. With over 18 years of experience in the rebar and structural steel ironworking sectors. Our services for the company's include rebar fabrication and rebar installation, structural steel installation, welding, detailing of rebar steel for concrete structures in the residential, commercial, infrastructure and Industrial construction sectors. We also offer Telehandler/Zoomboom operator and equipment services. Our employee base ranges from 6 to 30 employees based upon the projects that we are working on throughout the year. Omega Steel Inc. was created in the summer of 2012 and Core Steel Inc. was created in the spring of 2021 to accommodate our future planned growth.

Worked on various projects with different companies. My work experience mainly consisted of working on infrastructure, industrial projects and residential condominium towers. Some of the projects that I worked on during this time includes: Canada Line Skytrain project, Olympic Skating Oval, Chevron Refinery, CBC TV Towers condo project, Port Mann Bridge, Oil and Gas project in Northern Alberta and BC, Mica Dam, Rio Tinto Aluminum Smelter Modernization Project, and Deltaport Container Expansion.

Was a Journeyman and then Foreman in a Pre-Cast yard building segments for the Elevated section of the Canada Line SkyTrain. I managed a crew of 4 and we built double wide segments. I kept track of time sheets coordinated the daily and weekly schedule with the concrete foreman, fabrication foreman, crane operators and the site Superintendent.

Started out as a apprentice and my duties included packing of steel for the journeyman, make sure we had proper supplies (wire, saw, hickey bar, etc), and water for the crew at our work areas. Was taught how to read blueprints from my foreman. This work was completed on various condominium towers in the Lower Mainland area of BC.

Planned and input plan into computer system for storage of all containers arriving at Deltaport Container Terminal by Rail, Ship, and Truck. Coordinated with Rail Dept., Ship Planning Dept., and Container Stevedoring Companies. I trained all new employees in the Deltaport Yard Planning Dept. Resolved all issues with containers arriving at the Terminal by rail, ship and truck.

I coordinated the unloading and loading of a all containers in the Deltaport Rail Yard. I managed relationships with CN, CP, and BC Rail crews. As well as the longshoreman rail yard crews. These duties included the scheduling of trains entering and leaving the Terminal, inspection of Hazard placards on containers, running container unloading/loading lists for domestic and international destinations.

Managed all the ordering longshoremen crews for graveyard, dayshift, and nightshift schedules. This included all crews working in the railyard, ship dock, and main yard; as well as in the maintenance buildings. I managed the submittal of payroll timesheet to the BCMEA (BC Maritime Employers Association), ordering of travel for longshoreman to the union office.
