Shannons was the brainchild of the late Robert Shannon who created an insurance business in the early seventies run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Along with Robert his fellow owner Craig Brown developed the business to Australia's number 1 Classic Car Insurer and Classic Car Auctioneer. Craig bore the fruits of the labour when Shannons was sold to multi national insurer Royal Sun Alliance in 2001
