Working on behalf of Scottish Water/Business Stream & other license providers carrying out water meter surveys, instalation/repair of water meters & general problem solving of problems encountered by the meter readers out in the field and relaying all information back to Scottish Water/Business Stream. Covering the whole of Scotland and the Scottish Isles.

During my time at W.Brown Roadworks I started off as a labourer then after a few months I was then promoted to roller driver/paver driver. This involved working closely as a member of the team to ensure work being carried out was completed correctly and safely ensuring all projects were completed on schedule to the required standards. I also had to maintain plant and machinery being either the roller or paver before and after use or whenever a mechanical fault occurred. Unfortunately due to a down turn in work the company had to carry out a downsizing exercise and had to lay off a number of staff.

At the end of May 2007 I started at Barnetts Volkswagen as a trainee mechanic. The knowledge I gained from past experiences helped me with the basic principles of car engines and the skills sets required to become a mechanic. In the time I was with Barnetts I learned the fundamentals of how a workshop runs. I carried out normal workshop duties such as cleaning of the workshop, emptying bins, assisting with M.O.T’s and the general servicing and repairs of cars under supervision.

Whilst at college I had a part time job in the garage which specialised in diesel cars and vans. With Past experience working on motor vehicles I was able to help with the servicing of vehicles doing jobs as changing brake discs and pads, oil changes, filter changes and much more. Being a diesel specialist I got involved with the repair of diesel pumps and injectors and built up a better knowledge of diesel engines.

After Leaving School and waiting to go to college I started work with Bissett Plant Services. Here I helped with the service and repair on a wide range of machinery such as road- rollers, dumpers, diggers, tractors and many more. I also gained a knowledge and understanding of how a diesel engine works and the learning of the control of many different machines.

Summer Job 2005 while still at school then worked when asked to at weekends for just under a year.During my time working at G&W Lawnmowers I assisted in the service and repair of a vast range of electric and petrol powered gardening equipment. Here I gained the knowledge and understanding of small electrical and petrol powered engines.
