Taking some time away from a dedicated HSE and sustainability role as part of targeted career development activities. The role looks after the client side program management of post opening activities across Australia’s largest road infrastructure project.Key aspects of my role include cross functional team leadership, contract management, budget accountability and works management. Key ResponsibilitiesMy role was to design, and develop and then lead operational ownership for the program of HSE activities in Sydney for Transurban, an infrastructure business with operations across Australia and North America• Develop the region’s annual safety, risk and HSE management plan and approach for the future• Drive and support board, executive and operational level audiences to demonstrate HSE leadership• Providing ongoing and continued support in relation to HSE and Road Safety across multiple business sites and business units• Engaging closely with and communicating effectively with multiple internal stakeholders within the business to identify gaps and individual needs in the short, medium and long-term• Liaise and maintain relationships with various external regulators such as EPA NSW, DPIE, TfNSW and Safework NSW• Represent Transurban within National and NSW based committees• Implement road safety actions plans across all assets in NSW, that are aligned to the Safe Systems approach, to support a reduction in injury and motor vehicle crashes on our roads and infrastructure • Writing, presenting and reviewing board papers for both internal and external directors• Design and implementation of safety and environmental processes for auditing purposes to achieve and maintain achieving ISO45001 and ISO14001 certification• Have held multiple positions with an increasing portfolio over my tenure• Project managed the HSE requirements needed during acquisitions, business transformations and opening of multiple motorways• Support our safety and environmental management system to ensure we work in accordance with Australian Standards and Transport for NSW specifications

Key Responsibilities• Tasked in this role to provide ongoing and continued safety and rehabilitation advice and the strategy plan for 7 sites working across two states for Coles Logistics leading a team of 5 staff;• Develop and lead the safety strategy for over 2000 staff providing my expertise to ensure transport providers, 3rd party logistics operators and in-house logistics operations work in a safe manner;• Achieved a reduction in Workers Compensation Premiums across each state by $46M over 5 years.• Successfully went onto reduce the zone LTIFR over a 4 year period by over 75% from 38.2 to 9.24; • Implement and ensure chain of responsibility (CoR) compliance across the market;• Took ownership in the facilitation of a 2 day Safety Leadership Capability training programs to 300+ Logistics Managers to support the cultural maturity towards an interdependent safety organisation;• Assessed our internal safety management system to ensure continued operational relevance and meet self-insurance requirements for compliance and auditing purposes;• Project managed the Supply Chain division for self-insurance relicensing in QLD, NSW and SA, achieving all key targets, set objectives and deliverables requested by stakeholders;• Investigate, analysis and review serious incidents and producing detailed recommendation reports on corrective actions to Coles executive leadership team;• Won the Coles Working Together Award as part of the National Safety Team for outstanding performance in delivering performance improvements and efficiencies across the business;• Implemented new business safety systems, processes and procedures to enhance a lean and streamlined HSE environment that delivered results for the Australian logistics business.
