• Assisted international student population in locating cooperative education and internship programs both in the United States and abroad, and helping to explain opportunities and limitations pertaining to their visa status (F1, J1, H1B)• Developed and implemented educational programs designed to incorporate career knowledge into the fabric of student life, and ensured that they continue acquiring that knowledge as they transition through college• Assisted in the development and implementation of training programs for new Graduate Assistants and practicum students• Collaborated with colleagues on special projects that pertain to career development of veterans, adults, and students with special needs, and strategically formed relationships with faculty and students in UA’s Summit College• Served as primary liaison to the College of Health Professions (nursing, social work, speech-language pathology)• Ensured continuous quality improvement of the Focus2 assessment by strategically educating campus advisors on the use of the tool, which in turn would increase our rate of student use of the assessment by over 300% from 2011-2012• Offered assistance for use of the NACELink system to students, faculty, staff, and employers, and relied primarily on self-direction to utilize data analysis techniques, and apply results-driven changes to make improvements to function• Planned effective and strategic use (by staff, students, and employers) of the NACELink system for posting and applying for open full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities• Participated extensively in campus orientation programs, and answered a variety of questions for students and their parents• Developed PowerPoint presentations and produced handouts for students in introductory first-year courses, focusing on “college survival” topics such as study skills, time/stress management, and important campus resources
