I am a small business owner, which means I’m in charge of everything. My extensive background in marketing and communication has saved us countless dollars when it comes to promoting the business with a very strict budget. My ability to adapt quickly has come into play countless times, especially since we had to constantly modify our operations to stay in compliance with rapidly changing Covid protocols.I run payroll, function as the one and only HR manager, approve budgets, file employment taxes, file RITS reports with the Texas Comptroller, stay on top of inventory, function as the sole IT person (I can run Cisco Meraki systems, run cables, and keep an entire IT tower full of audio-video and internet equipment working), accounts receivable, accounts payable, and so much more.With a staff of over 25 people, I’m able to keep things running as smoothly as possible when one deals with varying personality types, availabilities, and the occasional crisis.I’m management material, there’s no way around it. My background is creative communication, but I’m equally left brained, and that has prepared me for just about anything.

One fateful day I decided to be a freelancer as opposed to a salaried employee. So far, so good. A growing list of clients and a stretchy spiderweb of good folks have kept me working steadily over the years.
