Business Development is often viewed as a mundane effort that many business owners do not want to undertake. This business necessity requires detail, structure and strategy, as well as an “all hands in” mentality amongst team members in all positions. We all, to some degree, assist with developing the business. Conversely, a Business Developer, such as myself, manages the processes that surround developing a business. Much attention in any development process is given to KPI design and management. How well areas of a business perform relies heavily on how they were designed to perform, as well as how intricately they are managed.
