I strive to keep my clients ahead of the curve when it comes to global changes in the law and new trends in technology. As an IP strategist, I present on IP topics world-wide, and focus on analyzing, prosecuting, managing and safeguarding my clients'​ domestic and international patent portfolios. In addition, having served on the Firm’s Executive Committee, I know what it takes to achieve tangible results within budgetary requirements. My exploits include drafting patent applications, defending, enforcing and designing around patents, and developing world-wide patent portfolios and strategies for a Pennsylvania based company specializing in speech synthesis systems for the physically and cognitively challenged. Much of my current practice focuses on the management of patent portfolios for large Asian consumer electronics companies, specializing in Internet-related and flat panel display technologies; and for large European companies, specializing in medical and other forms of digital imaging. I am focused on efficiently and expeditiously obtaining broad patent protection for my clients. For example, I developed successful reissue strategies for my clients, and integrated reissue patent practice into the portfolios of several companies in their core technologies. Further, as a prior patent examiner, I use my first-hand knowledge and long standing relationships within the USPTO to provide broad patent protection in an expeditious and cost-effective manner, resulting in a competitive advantage for my clients. My abilities to understand complex technologies and appreciate evolving legal trends provide the skills needed to synthesize and design patent protection strategies that are practical and which include the foresight to stand the test of time. I've presented world-wide on topical IP issues and constantly strive to refine strategies for patent procurement and enforcement of my client's patents.
