Support ongoing Procurement projects. Work closely with Capital Procurement, Mill Procurement operation, local mill Procurement and Engineering team members to ensure project requirements, deadlines and schedules are on track. Lead various Procurement initiatives to realize Companywide savings opportunities and/or cost reduction. Ensure efficient communications channels between MPO, MRO, Capital, Legal and mill procurement teams. Assist in identifying, developing and executing training opportunities for Procurement team members.

Responsible for mill capital procurement; manage a team of three procurement/engineering professionals that supports 20+ pulp and paper mills in all areas for capital purchasing of equipment and services with spend levels of over $300MM. Development of all RFI's, RFQ's and RFP's, negotiate all commercial terms and finalize all contracts including detailed statement's of work. Work closely with engineering, legal and senior management to meet the goals of the division. Assist in development of mill site Procurement Managers in WestRock Policies and Procedures and job duties through one-on-one training, coaching and consultation.

Managed approximately $100MM+ in Mill Capital (Equipment and Services) for RockTenn North America. Responsibilities included managing the Procurement and CAPEX life cycle, contract negotiations, TCO, strategic supplier identification and relationship building, and exceeding the demands of internal mill operations. Manage and oversee overall Capital procurement and OEM parts for the Containerboard Mill Division of RockTenn. Lead strategic sourcing activities for assigned categories of spend, capturing savings through purchasing volume and negotiating TCO contracts with suppliers in support of company objectives. Work closely with functional stakeholder teams and suppliers to ensure effective cost strategies and implementation plans are implemented

Assigned to manage Capital Equipment purchases and services for a paper machine rebuild and upgrade project. Negotiated contracts and orders on spend in excess of $90MM while achieving 12.5% savings.

Responsible for managing and directing all purchasing, storeroom, and inventory control activities. Managed, conducted and oversaw all negotiations and administration of major contracts, long-term contracts, capital equipment purchases and services. Established materials department budget and prepared forecast essential for the preparation of annual mill budget. Developed process of inventory control and management that resulted in reduction of $1MM from facility inventory and reduction of support staff from 9 to 5 employees.
