Direct and coordinate the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects as a shipbuilder. Review product design for compliance, as well as evaluate and approve requested design changes. Monitor reporting and advising on current build strategy for New Construction. Oversaw the Classification of Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) for the United States Navy and Fisheries/Research Vessels fabricated at Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM). Acted as a mediator with the primary contractor, shipyard, and owners to ensure the completion of all project requirements. Assessed and corrected quality issues. Oversaw up to 7 direct reports.Notable Contributions:• Led the New Construction Surveys of vessels located in Mississippi, Alabama, and Northwestern Florida including Classification, SOLAS, Machinery, and MARPOL surveys, as well as all Flag State Certifications.• Delivered classification services to clients in the Gulf Coast Area, including New Construction, Dry-Docking, and Repair Surveys, in addition to classification services to the Offshore Oil and Gas fleet.
