Plan, coordinate, and implement regulatory guidelines, policies and procedures for management and accountability of training ammunition. Develop and/or review a variety of engineer unit training products. Conduct analysis on training products. Support the use and integration of Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) into collective products. Serve as combat engineer team lead and the lead action officer for the U.S. Army Engineer School Standards in Training Commission (STRAC). Develop appropriate training concepts and strategies and determine the scope of unit and staff training requirements. Prepare after-action reports, correspondence, briefing charts and graphs.

Perform event coordination functions, conduct detailed literature reviews, develop and update experimentation documents. Work includes, but it is not limited to, research and review of appropriate and applicable literature and documents; technical analysis, technical writing, preparing and updating experimentation and wargame documents; preparing information and issue papers; internal and external staffing of experimentation documents; preparation of briefings and experimentation related presentations; attendance at and participation in meetings, conferences and working sessions; and participation during In Progress Reviews (IPRs). Provides expertise required to design and conduct a series of experiments; evaluate outcomes and lessons learned to provide insights and findings to inform the development/refinement of the Protection Army Functional Concept and/or appropriate Capabilities Based Assessments (CBA) and Functional Based Assessments (FbA); that will plan for providing Army and Joint maneuver support functionality across doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leader development and education, personnel and facilities Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF) for current and future forces. Provides requisite analytical and technical support to the Maneuver Support Battle Lab (MSBL) for planning, coordinating and executing the Maneuver Support, Sustainment and Protection Integrating Experiment (MSSPIX), includes research, coordination with other government organizations, logistics and report writing.

Serves as the Senior Engineer Organization Subject Matter expert (SME) Action Officer, and Project Manager to Combat development Workgroups, research studies and projects. Provided detailed reviews and analysis to responses and corrections of requirement documents. Advised and provided support to the US Army Engineer School, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Training and Doctrine Command and HQDA leadership on personnel and equipment. Managed the maintenance of 201 Engineer Table of Organization and Equipment (TOE), 198 Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP), Manpower Requirement criteria (MARC) tables. Supervised the validation of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documents; coordinates documentation actions to ensure minimum mission essential wartime requirements (MMEWR) for 57K personnel and $21 Billion worth of equipment across the Engineer Regiment. Assisted in the development and validation of 198 BOIPs; conducted detailed reviews of all Engineer Standards of Grades table for uniquely different and separate Engineer functions. Maintains proficiency in the use of required tools/software (FMS, FMSWEB Suite, SLAMIS, LIW, AE2S) to accomplish tasks. Completes necessary research and analysis for the review and update of the Engineer Proponent TOEs, BOPIs and MARC for future or conceptual Engineer and other proponent branch/functional organizations. Develops recommended Basis of Issue (BOI) narrative statements for inclusion in the Army Material Command Item Program Manager’s Basis of Issue-Feeder Data (BOIP-FD), and calculations based on the current Total Army Analysis (TAA) programmed force, estimated Engineer TOE and staff requirements by component (Active, National Guard, Army Reserve and prepositioned equipment).

Served as the Senior Operations Supervisor and managed ten separate corporations and one Headquarters and Headquarters Company to advise and assist National Guard and Reserve organizations in preparation of overseas contingency operations. Primary advisor to the Chief Operations Officer for planning and execution between Brigade, Division and Fort Knox post Headquarters. Responsible for discipline, health, morale, and welfare and of 45 personnel and the maintenance and serviceability of equipment valued in excess $5 million. Advised personnel on future assignments and career progression, which enabled them to seek better employment and promotion opportunities. Drafted and implemented the organizations training exercise procedures for multi-state agencies ensuring standardization throughout the organization. Supervised the data collection and distribution of 34 organizations resulting in all training objectives filed in a database system in a timely manner. Updated attendance records and accountability ensuring accuracy and submitted daily to management. Organized calendar events, scheduled appointments on a routine basis ensuring the accuracy of synchronization throughout the organization. Mentored five new staff members regarding training policies and procedures. Selected by the CEO over five other peers to develop the Senior Organization Exercise and Emergency Operations Center Standard Operating Procedures.

Served as Senior Combat Engineer NCO Observer, Coach/Trainer for one of the largest traveling training Brigades in 1st Army Division East. Conducted wartime collective training of the Army National Guard and Reserve Component. Executed high intensity, realistic individual and collective training, gunnery and Army Training and Evaluation Programs (ARTEP). Selected by the Brigade Command Sergeant Major to serve as the Non-Commissioned in Charge for War Exercise (WAREX) and Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) which resulted in training for over 1200 Reserve Component Soldiers Assisted in development and certification of five blocks of instruction on mobility, counter-mobility, and survivability as part of Observer Coach/Trainer certification. Sought by peers and superiors as the Subject Matter Expert on Engineer Operations while the organization transitioned from a Calvary Regiment to a Brigade Engineer Battalion. Served as interim Command Sergeant Major for Exportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) and stabilized CSM responsibilities while presiding over Observer Coach/Trainer duties. Pioneered new Observer Coach/Trainer partnerships between the Active, Reserve and Army National Guard and established solid relationships between over 150 units across the Army. Advised the 19th Engineer Battalion staff during Command Post (CP) Exercise on recommended training plans and CP design and efficiency and tracking and reporting Significant Activities (SIGACTS). Mentored three separate companies on the proper employment of tactics and procedures on current Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and current doctrine on Improvised Explosive Device detection, reporting and reduction prior to deployment. Developed and executed realistic training lanes on react to contact, react to indirect and direct fire during a twenty-one-day training exercise, resulting in 11 platoons being properly trained on offensive and defensive operations.

Served as the First Sergeant in a Combat Effect Engineer Battalion in support of Division, Corps and Joint Operations Contingency missions with a world-wide deployment capability. Managed a 145 personnel company for 26 months, accountable for the health, welfare, training, and individual readiness to globally deploy the entire unit when called upon. Advised personnel on future assignments and career progression, which enabled them to seek better employment and promotion opportunities resulted in all Assistant Managers being promoted to Managers. Interviewed and screened employee personnel records to ensure all requirements were met for advancement and placement in positions of higher responsibility.Mentored, trained and professionally developed 40 Noncommissioned Officers. Senior advisor to the commander to allow critical thinking, and problem solving at the senior level to facilitate constructive decision making in a timely matter. Maintained a tracking system that ensured compliance on all mandatory training qualifications and ensured all personnel and equipment were maintained to highest state of readiness. Assisted in accountability of vehicles and equipment valued in excess $58 million. Displayed knowledge of proper mounted and dismounted assured mobility tactics, techniques and procedures for 152 patrols during the company’s Afghanistan deployment. Executed an extensive site reconnaissance for a raid tower in support of the U.S. Consulate in Herat, Afghanistan, which resulted in the strategic erection of this vital observation asset. Streamlined a Master Resiliency Training (MRT) program for 145 Soldiers supporting redeployment training which resulted in smooth reintegration transition without incident. Developed eleven administrative and training systems within the company that reorganized operations which enabled the company to focus on training while meeting requirements.

Served as the Platoon Sergeant and Operations Sergeant in a Combat Effect Engineer Battalion in support of Division, Corps and Joint Operations Contingency missions with a world-wide deployment capability. Managed a 33 personnel Platoon for 20 months, accountable for the health, welfare, training, and individual readiness to globally deploy the entire unit when called upon. Advised personnel on future assignments and career progression, which enabled them to seek better employment and promotion opportunities resulted in all Assistant Managers being promoted to Managers. Screened employee personnel records to ensure all requirements were met for advancement and placement in positions of higher responsibility. Senior advisor to the platoon leader to allow critical thinking, and problem solving at the senior level to facilitate constructive decision making in a timely matter. Assigned additional duty as Security NCO, ensured area was prepared for Brigade’s Operational Inspection resulted in the Company Arms Room receiving a commendable rating of 98%, additionally maintained 100% accountability of the company’s arms room and the transfer of 70 new weapon systems in preparation of deployment to Iraq. Designed a company standard for redeployment counseling that ensured all Soldiers received the proper counseling, possible agencies that was needed upon redeployment from theater. Performed duties as an Observer, Coach/ Trainer (OC/T) at the National Training Center (NTC) for an Engineer company conducting route clearance missions in preparation for their deployment to Afghanistan. Selected above peers to be part of the advance party for Iraq, securing billets and establish food and ammunition accounts and resourced theater training for a 98 personnel company.

Served in a nominative position as an instructor for TRADOC Initial Entry Training (IET) leader and cadre training courses. Planned, coordinated and presented training for newly assigned Brigade, Battalion, and Company level leaders on IET topics. Trained over 900 Brigade and below key Leaders on Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training and One Station Unit Training in accordance with TRADOC Regulation 350-6. Primary Instructor for Support Cadre Training Course, Installation Staff &Contractors Training Course and Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeant Course (AIT PSG) training more than 1000 cadre annually. Exercised superb leadership and genuine concern for Soldiers resulted in 98% of Soldiers successfully graduation the AIT PSG Course. Established a rigorous and challenging field training exercise ensuring over 160 Soldiers met the required standard during the AIT PSG Course. Received accolades from TRADOC Accreditation inspection for 10 of 12 Task Analysis Reports used as examples of excellence. Developed numerous new Training Support Packages that enabled the TRADOC community to train cadre with the most current and relevant Doctrine. Perform Training Developer duties supporting the organization receiving a 93% during TRADOC Accreditation inspection. Established a detailed Standard Operating Procedure on the execution and evaluation of Warrior Task and Battle Drills (WTBD) training for the AIT PSG Course. Incorporated a series of student guides on topics on the use of map overlays, dismounted patrolling, route clearance and reconnaissance. Identified and corrected major deficiencies in the AIT PSC Course Student Evaluation Plan directly effecting more than 300 students. Implemented training strategies and operating procedures that greatly enhanced the quality of training and administration for all TRADOC IET Cadre Training courses.
