  When my esteemed career as a law student ended at Wake Forest School of Law in 1990, I was fortunate to join the equally esteemed law firm of Young Moore and Henderson. Within months of earning my law degree, I was learning about tractors and trailers, hours of service, rapid response scene investigations and all things related to the transportation industry. I have been honored to serve many of the nations finest fleets, as well as many proud owner-operators. After 25 years of service within the legal arena, I had the opportunity to give back to the industry through service on the TIDA Board of Directors. I proudly accepted the role of President during TIDA's Annual Conference in October 2017 for a two-year term ending in October of 2019. While trucks play a major role in my professional life, I have also been fortunate to partner with great clients in other industries. Since 2002, many long term care facilities across North Carolina have sought counsel and/or a vigorous defense in the courtroom or arbitration setting. The nurses and staff whom I represent inspire me with their dedication and compassion. Last but not least, a minor auto accident involving an electric contractor's bucket truck more than 20 years ago introduced me to the world of electric membership cooperatives. Today, I am equally proud to represent the men and women who keep our lights on and our devices charged. With experience comes responsibility and I am honored that I have the opportunity to serve as a mentor and teacher. I have been fortunate to work directly with other Young Moore professionals for more than 20 years as part of my personal litigation team. Now I'm focused on new attorneys and paralegals, hoping to share my knowledge and experiences with them. In my spare time, I am an avid camper, hiker and kayak/shredder partner with my husband Mark.
