• As Art Director at Lonely Planet the department I led produced a variety of reference books covering travel, wellbeing and food. Each book has its own unique branding, and I developed the look and packaging for each.
• Managed cross-functional team of 10 in 4 locations (London, New York, Franklin and Melbourne), ranging from designers, senior designers, art directors, illustrators, cartographers and sub-editors.
• Directed and validated over 200 titles for a global audience printed in 20 countries.
• Launched New York office with lead Publisher and recruited and guided new team. Increased design capacity by 40%.
• Overhauled the obsolete design culture and created a progressive and an collaborative design team that looked at evolving trends in graphics and illustration.
• Designed a number one best-sellers on Amazon, with Ultimate Travelist selling over 1 million copies making it Lonely Planet’s all time biggest seller.
