Bar Manager and Beer & Wine Buyer at First Draft Book Bar: A wine, beer, and coffee bar nestled in Changing Hands Bookstore of Phoenix located in the historic Beef Eaters building, The Newton. Responsibilities included the following:Beer and Wine buying, education, P&L analysis and menu management. Daily operations included customer service, inventory, event catering, scheduling, POS management, employee training, food prep, cash handling and all key holder responsibilities.:ABOUT THE NEWTON:An adaptive reuse project by Venue Projects, LLC and John Douglas Architects, The Newton is a mixed-use concept housed inside Phoenix's former (but iconic) Beef Eaters building. Named after Beef Eaters' Founder Jay Newton, today The Newton is a place where people can read, dine, gather, and shop.The Newton is home to the Phoenix location of Changing Hands Bookstore, Southern Rail Restaurant, Southwest Gardener, and Christofolo Schermer Consulting. The Newton is also an event venue, with three private event spaces available for private events and parties.
