About Dan Martin
My time is spent with the intention of helping improve lives around the world. Starting 2000, I served 5 yrs in the Navy. Have a B.S. in Nuclear Technology and have professional training and experience in technology. Licensed in real estate and aviation. Completed the Nuclear Power Program at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command and served on submarine tours in the Pacific. I'm active in entrepreneurial ventures and entertainment based humanitarian initiatives, and selectively invest. I'm always involved in some form of RE business. I flip properties, and in 2006, I was selected by a large estate management company to develop a privately held city parcel containing 9 buildings. In 2008, co-founded a boutique live entertainment company, Artist Plug-In, where my role involved using my background in nuclear plant electrical systems to work closely with energy companies, political figures and major music artists to produce programs that promoted the growth of the early electric car movement by incorporating them into high profile music events. One of our programs brought celebrity driven all-electric cars to the BET Music Awards for the first time in history. In 2009, joined a new production co., Bee Holder Productions, shortly before making the Emmy and Golden Globe winning "You Don't Know Jack" starring Al Pacino playing the notorious Dr. Jack Kevorkian, and have since Executive Produced a documentary and a feature film. At the end of 2011, a couple partners and I built a bank data driven consumer technology company, Clout, where we raised $3M, integrated 17,000 banks and processed upwards of $1B in bank transactions before selling the IP to an investment firm. In 2017 I volunteered full time for a year to drive the Hot Cars Act, successfully bringing passed petition and bill to and through Congress. I was last a managing director at VantageBP, advisor to Mana Pacific, and in recent years have led the acquisition and reorganization of several major CPG brands under Hoziane. Strengths are innovation, training, BD, negotiating, and partnerships. I'm a macro thinker and try to be easy to work with.
