I am currently commenced in an electrical apprenticeship second year under the certificate III in electrotechology with Berwick, Chisholm. I have learnt a wide range of electrical skills in this course from keymathematical theory to hands on practical applications. I have learnt and understood the maths andtheory side such as ohms law and understanding how resistance works within electrical wiring andcomponents and also the symbiotic relationship of voltage and current. With the hands on practical sideI've learnt how to identify and select the right TPS wire for a job, for example using 1.5mm TPS which istypically designated for a lighting circuit. I can loop from a light or switch, two way lighting, 3 wayintermediate switching and finally how to incorporate the circuits into a switchboard. I have previous experience within the building and construction industry as acarpenters labourer. This has given me a good proficiency and awareness when using a variety ofpower/hand tools.I love the electrical trade and with this comes a passion to succeed and further develop my skills. I amhard working, strong time management skills and prioritising goals. I will do what’s expected of me andmore. I am caring, compassionate, level headed and logically minded. I have a positive attitude to lifeand I feel my drive to become a fully qualified electrician is my number one goal.
