Insurance Coverage Practice: • Represent national insurance companies in complex coverage litigation including general liability, construction defect, advertising injury, professional liability, director and officer, product liability, environmental, intellectual property and extra-contractual liability claims• Prepare written recommendations evaluating potential liability exposure and strategic cost-benefit analysis regarding options to resolve coverage disputes• Prosecute and defend declaratory judgment actions in multiple state and federal jurisdictions including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, dispositive motions and appeals• Conduct and defend depositions, including expert depositions• Draft mediation position papers and participate in multi-party mediation proceedings• Manage underlying defense counsel on behalf of insurance clients to ensure continuity of positions taken to comport with long term interests• Negotiate and draft settlement agreements, tolling stipulations and other covenants to efficiently resolve litigation in accordance with clients’ business plansDirect Defense/Commercial Litigation Practice: • Litigate and defend all aspects of professional liability claims, including, but not limited to discovery and motion practice, witness and expert depositions, trial and post-trial motions• Prosecute and defend commercial disputes involving breach of contract, interference with contractual relations, breach of warranty and fraud• Resolve contract disputes through settlement negotiations, mediations and/or arbitrations
