Overview:Manage assets and real-time activities for the energy portfolio, monitoring load and energy production to determine least cost dispatch of generation through trading or dispatching of in-state resources. Evaluate the real-time CAISO energy market as well as other energy components to assist in market analysis to identify fluctuations in cost and availability of power sources.Responsibilities:• Manage and monitor operations of the PG&E portfolio including all hydro facilities, MSGs, peakers, combined heat & power, wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, & qualifying facilities.• Act as the main point of contact to the CAISO, dispatching all units in real-time as necessary. • Inform the CAISO and counterparties of real-time outages, updating them of PG&E's generation portfolio status.• Perform real-time transactions with various counter parties based on economic analysis, while considering the current available resources, load forecast, and market conditions.• Calculate financial and market positions for PG&E’s energy supply portfolio on a 24/7 basis.• Manage the Electronic Tagging (scheduling) of Import/Export power using the OATI system. • Manage real-time bidding, scheduling, and load forecasting functions.
