Conduct all day-to-day operations for the Data Centre.Preparation and installation of racks, infrastructure cabling, network devices, compute devices, and associated equipment.Update asset management system as equipment is added and removed from the Data Centre.Define tasks for each project and work with all Technical and Production teams to meet project timelines, as well as providing status updates to team members/management on the completion of tasks.Implement process for staff performance management and continuous improvement against established key performance indicators.Provide all information to assist with Data Centre capacity planning for space and power.Handle all vendor resources to complete tasks as defined in SOWs.Provide regular business and operational updates to the regional DC management. Partner with Global Compliance & Security teams to ensure Data Centre security, audit and compliance requirements are met.Responsible for Data Centre availability inclusive of problem management and corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery activities.Drive multiple programs and projects through to successful completion to meet our service delivery requirements. Data Centre operational metric gathering and analysis on a regular basis that aligns to companywide sustainability programs and initiatives.Liaising with various partners to manage operational needs and expectations to service level agreements on behalf of Salesforce.

Installation and maintenance of EMC’s product range, including Symmetrix, Clariion, VNX, Data Domain, Centera, Atmos, Isilon, Avamar, XtremIO,VPlex, Brocade & Cisco Switches.Implement installations, hardware & software upgrades, part replacement and fault resolution as directed by Technical Support Labs.Diagnose limited system malfunctions to isolate problems to EMC products and develop appropriate action plans.Recognize the need to escalate a complex customer issue, following the specified escalation procedures, in order to maintain customer satisfaction.Accurately document service requests at the completion of an event. Including timely and accurate submission of associated documentation and parts return.Maintain all assigned spare parts, tools and personal test equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or managing employee on-site. Attend training courses as required to develop and maintain a working knowledge of EMC equipment, software and Basic configurations.
