Selected to participate in the first ever SEC Directed Internship during the summer of 2020. This 12-week internship program began with 6 weeks of extensive industry training by professionals. Throughout the training, interns gained valuable insight in how industries operate in certain conditions and developed professional habits that enhanced our leadership skills, communication skills, and teamwork.In the second 6 weeks, teams were formed and were tasked with developing a project plan for an innovative solution to several problems. I served as the Team Leader and Financial Analyst for Team 4, where the team was tasked with developing a new car shopping experience for customers using virtual reality. We developed a product and service that would be able to eliminate the need for a salesman at the dealership, while still providing a strong emotional connection to the vehicle. As the Team Leader, I had the responsibility to be the teams primary contact, schedule meetings, and to assign roles. As the Financial Analyst, I was responsible for creating a cash flow plan, 3-year financial plan, and determine the capital needed to fund our company, Clear Vision Technology. Ultimately, our product and service would save dealerships up 25% and provide a way that customers could research, test drive, and purchase a car all in the comfort of their own home.
