Serve as District Director for Districts 1, 2, 3, and 5 covering more than 50 countiesSupport the work of District Directors to grow PTA by assisting with chartering newunits, forming new community partnerships, and providing training to leaders at alllevels.Manage Field Services budget. Serve as Chairman of the Field Services Committee. Support the work of Committee Chairs by assisting with events and programs asrequested. Specifically, serve as a member of the Legislative, Membership, Education, and other Committees as requested by Committee Chairs or President.Assist and advise President in the implementation of his strategic plan and vision for the association.Collaborate with Education and Membership Chairs to evaluate where Georgia PTA canexpand into new areas of the state, provide services to new schools and schooldistricts, and develop plans to grow the role and influence of Georgia PTA.Role of District Directors:Serves as the liaison from Georgia PTA Board of Directors and works with the councils and localPTAs in geographical areas of the state.Interprets PTA policies, plans, practices, publications and programs.Ensures schools of information or other workshops are conducted for PTA leaders.Promotes and charters new units and councils and strengthens those already organized.Promotes district publicity and fosters good public relations with superintendents and principals.Integrates the work of local associations with state and national plans and activities.Services councils and local PTAs through consultation, instruction and visits.Presents recommendations to Georgia PTA Board of Directors from councils and local PTAs.Promotes membership of local units and supports campaigns, publicity, programs pertaining tomembership.Promotes diversity and develops strong and active PTA leaders.
