I am a skilled educator who is comfortable with a wide range of e-learning tools. I earned the Jack and Dorothy Faye White Fellowship for Teaching Excellence (2020) and a Teaching and Learning Award (2020). I also earned a Certificate in Effective College Instruction from the Association of College and University Educators (2019). I received my Ph.D. in Criminology & Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2015), a Master of Forensic Science from The George Washington University (2010), and a B.S. in Forensic and Investigative Science from West Virginia University (2008).I am also an experienced research manager who has led multiple original data collection projects using qualitative interviews, diaries, Qualtrics surveys, and videoconferencing. I have supervised over 130 student research teams in my quantitative focused research methods course. I have published peer reviewed journals, technical reports, given legislative testimony, and presented at academic and advocacy group conferences.
