Matt currently assists lawyers with the management of electronic files throughout the litigation lifecycle. He acts as a liaison between the attorneys, technical staff, and vendors to produce effective technical solutions. Matt also determines if case needs can be efficiently met using internal resources, vendor resources, or a combination of the two. Matt manages the selection process which includes RFP creation, proposal review, and vendor recommendation. Once a vendor is selected, Matt manages all vendor related processes to ensure that the product is delivered as designed.Matt has been working in information technology since 1988 and in the legal arena since 1992. For many years, Matt had management duties at top 100 law firms such as Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; Piper & Marbury; and Covington & Burling. Matt was the architect behind SAGE MindPort, the innovative Internet collaboration solution that helps law firms successfully manage large litigation cases. His software devleopment projects also included a portal application for an international law firm to automate its Intellectual Property practice, and a customized web portal for a financial management company. For many years Matt led a software development group that specialized in helping law firms maximize Internet and web technologies to be more productive, efficient, and effective. While Matt has thorough knowledge of advanced computer languages such as C++, C# and VB.NET, as well as many other scripting languages, he is an expert at tying together disparate applications and databases to create consolidated interfaces for the user.
