About Darrell Smith
I have a varied background. I started my work journey in the U.S. Navy, worked in electronics and manufacturing. I have held positions in accounting, field engineering, process engineering, quality assurance, and industrial engineering.I joined NCTC in 2013 as an adjunct and found that I really liked teaching. My current position is the Interim Dean of the Industrial & Engineering Technology group. This group has a wide range of industrial programs that include Automotive, Construction Management, Electrical, Engineering Technology, HVAC, Industrial Mechatronics, Machining, Plumbing (soon), and Welding. It is an amazing and winding journey that life takes!
