I have over 30 years of experience being a creative artworker retoucher/Studio Manager in advertising. I have many skills, am very versatile, being able to respond effectively to all the artwork demands placed on a studio. I am skilled in: high-end retouching; colour correction on images; proofing on a Epson GMG printer and creative design work. My work covers a spectrum of activities, from fast turnaround retail ads, to implementing corporate identities, large promotional campaign materials – as well as creating highly-finished mock-ups and anything else that may be required. As Studio Manager I have demonstrated an ability to develop and get the best out of my team – through teaching, continuous staff development and performance reviews. I have also travelled around the world, working in agencies across Australia, New Zealand and the USA. This has given me a wealth of experience and valuable insight into how other organisations work.My previous roles as a Studio Manager have been but not limited to:• Ensure the smooth running of the studio department;• Traffic all jobs effectively in and out of the studio;• Maintain a high standard of work through quality checks and constant reviewing of work;• Keep track of all jobs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget;• Quality control all briefs coming into the studio, making sure all information is correct;• Act as a central point of contact for all studio enquires, for both internal and external clients;• Manage the studio team, acting as a mentor to develop the skills offered by the department;• Complete and undertake all department 360 reviews, providing teaching and development;• Look at all new software and technology to help improve the output of the department.;• Act as additional resource if and when required;• Be an enthusiastic and creative manager to help make work fun and enjoyable for the whole department.
