Warehouse And Shipping Manager
CurrentManage incoming and outgoing shipment activity; oversee efficient, accurate, and timely customer service to ensure service goals are attained.Diagnostics of current warehousing and rightsized to ensure reliability and optimum total cost.Continued performance management by analyzing, measuring, and inspecting key metric performance and maintenance cost to increase productivity and reduce cost.Contributes in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities to deliver superior service.Develop budget for transport inbound/outbound costs including performance metrics to capture value and minimize disruption risks.Control inventory levels by conducting physical audits and reconciling within the ERP system.Receipt of inventory, including container unloading, verification of quantity and condition received items, and receipt of shipments into QuickBooks.Manage day-to-day relationship with shipping carriers and logistics partners , including but not limited to UPS, FEDEX, and local courier partners.Collaborate with other departments ( Purchasing, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, Etc.) to build best in class processes.Expedite special projects and emergency deliveries.Purchasing of warehouse supplies as necessary and within budget.Serve as the primary escalation point for all logistics-related questions from internal parties.
