Used standard components, proposal text and costs where appropriate and worked with delivery teams to develop a solution where standard models are not appropriate.Also worked on multi-disciplinary bids which, as well as data centre components, include end-user computing, service desk, service integration and network services.Duties included establishing client requirements, designing solutions, calculating resource requirements, developing cost models and generating pricing and cost/benefit statements, responding to tenders and RFPs.• High profile multi million bids included:o A major high street bank – where Capgemini was recently awarded Service Integration, Service Desk and End User Services lots (Role – Data Centre Services solutioner and overall cost model owner)o The Environment Agency – Capgemini won a seven year full Infrastructure and Applications Management Outsource (Role – Data Centre Services solutioner)o Direct Line Group – Capgemini won a five year contract to design, deliver and run a new IT infrastructure to support its business which included the migration of Direct Line Group’s corporate and business applications from RBS Group (Role – Data Centre Services solutioner and overall cost model owner)• Managed the internal Installed Base Support team supporting existing account renewals / extensions. This involved rapid turnaround of the solution and associated costs using a small dedicated team whose skills complemented each other.• Assisted in the design, development and testing of one of Capgemini’s internal costing tools.
