1. Last 15 months - Responsible for the planned preventative maintenance and repair of all the British Army Main Battle Tank training equipment and simulators using 415V, 240V and low voltage computer controlled systems.Implemented all the technical support, modifications and assistance with a military Armoured Land Rover (Panther), working in close proximity with the British Army throughout Germany.Surveyed the condition of the fleet of Kuwait Desert Warrior Armoured Fighting Vehicles to tender a bid for the proposed upgrade of all their vehicles. My role was the inspection of all the Turret and Weapon Systems. 2. Prior to Germany - Completed 2 separate 3 month operational tours in Afghanistan (2009 & 2011) in support of an Armoured Land Rover (Panther) for the British Army and the Royal Air Force.Conducted a 6 week “Environmental Modification” upgrade program to the Panther vehicles at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. This involved the integration of six major subsystems under very arduous conditions, high temperatures and demanding time scale factors in a military operational environment.Supported the trials and development of the new cooling group, air conditioning system and mine blast protection for the Panther Command & Liaison Vehicle.Managed and initiated the rebuild of 4 Panther vehicles that had been used as donor vehicles for the supply of spare parts to support operations in Afghanistan.

Newcastle Based Working Uk Wide, Germany, Oman And Canada

1. Upgrades to all of the British Army Main Battle Tanks incorporating new Radio/Battlefield Communications, new Engine Management, new Main Engine Electric Fan and new Fire Suppression Systems.2. Installed software upgrades to the Main Battle Tank Computer and Inertial Reference Units (Gyro’s). Full Turret and Weapon system inspections were carried out as part of this process.3. Successfully implemented all the Computer upgrades for all the Oman Main Battle Tanks in Oman.4. Involved in the build, test and integration of the new prototype Armoured Land Rover (Panther) for the British Army, PS 1 through to 7 in Newcastle including all Radio Communication fits.

Cramlington/Blyth & Washington

Complete fitting and wiring of various sized control panels to IEE Electrical Regulation Standards including on site installations throughout the North East.

Telford

1. Responsible for the build of the complete cab system including all wiring and pneumatics for the Major Foam Vehicle (MFV) used on all of the Ministry of Defence airfields. 2. Involved with the integration of the cab system to the chassis followed by all necessary test, commission and fault finding as required.

Kuwait

1. Supported Desert Warrior alongside the Kuwait Army. Main role was as a Turret Maintenance and Repair Technician working on the Hughes/Delco Turret system.2. Responsible for the supervision and instruction to Third Country Nationals attached to the maintenance program.

Uk & Overseas

1. Qualified as an Electronics Control Equipment’s Technician gaining my Class 1 certification.2. Worked on various military vehicles and equipment’s including Challenger 1 Turret systems, Multi Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS), Artillery Surveillance and Digital & Analogue Automatic Test Facility (DIANA).3. Served throughout the UK, Germany, Canada and the Middle East during the first Gulf War/Op Granby.
