About Dave Johnson
Following a 2.1 degree in Economics & Politics I joined Premier Foods selling the Sharwoods brand as a ‘fast track’ graduate. In 7 years I quickly moved through a variety of roles in Sales and Marketing before joining Nestle where I spent a further 7 years mainly in the Beverage division in key National Account roles including managing a £60m retail business defying market share through category leading initiatives. I was then promoted into Trade Marketing managing a small team within the Beverage division, where I helped the business drive outstanding sales and profit growth.I then moved to Kerry Foods as a Commercial Manager to gain exposure to none multiple channels heading up a £90m sales division for nearly 3yrs, taking out the market leading Ginisters brand in major customers and adding £20m plus to the businesses annual turnover. I then joined my current company Petty Wood where I have been since 2006 delivering consistent, outstanding sales and profit growth for the business. I built the Retail sales division from £10m to £25m in a 6yr period, and I am now heading up a new Business Unit managing a team of Sales and Marketeers building the sales,distribution and profit of both category leading brands like Lavazza, Canderel and Menier, but also launching and building challenger brands very successfully. A commercial all rounder who has had wide exposure to all sales channels, as driven and passionate today as the day I started! Highly organised and analytical with loads of energy a positive, proactive, can do approach, leading from the front and great team player, results in making things happen both internally and externally.
