Supporting Shell retail as part of the project team. Having been involved mainly in connecting 3rd Parties to Shell network via VPN and MPLS solutions, within this role I would be involved in the end to end design liaising with the 3rd party and the hosting teams to ensure a smooth transition. Other activities have included replacing the X25 connection with an IP solution for payment card authorisation in Germany also removing SPOF on the internet network load balancers, relocating Retail Tandem hosting system behind firewalls for compliancy and resiliency and an AP Improvement program involving analysing current data flow, recommending improvements and carrying out these activities.

Joined the General Motors / GMAC LCM team initially to roll out GM sites in South Africa onto the EVPN network. Once completed, I began working within the LCM on various engineering duties, I became a permanent employee 2 years later within the same team. Some of the larger projects I have managed are: -The design and installation of GM’s European data centres in Frankfurt & London these included internet, Firewalls, 3rd Party EVPN, employee VPN and SSL VPN services. The German Campus re-design which included introducing more diversity and cost savings.South Africa Multi-VRF project that introduced National & International VPN’s. Assisted in the setup and installation of EMEA’s IPT host voice solution and subsequence site activations.My last assignment was running the EVPN to AVPN migration for the EMEA region.
