Serving a variety of clients, I focus on:• Design and pricing of insurance programs• Healthcare reform analysis and implementation• Financial solvency of insurance carriersBecause I work with a broad spectrum of clients across the U.S., the news and information I post on LinkedIn from third-party sources isn’t necessarily an endorsement.Since passage of the Affordable Care Act, I have assisted 21 states with health care reform issues. I currently serve 10 states as their rate reviewer and/or a healthcare reform adviser. My work has included actuarial assessments of Health Benefit Exchanges, the development of rate review programs, the design and implementation of new programs to cover uninsured populations, and the actuarial review of Qualified Health Plans.As a frequent speaker I am called on to appear at industry events, including those sponsored by the Society of Actuaries, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, and the Society of Financial Examiners, to address healthcare reform and financial reporting. I have been interviewed by national media including the Associated Press, Bloomberg, CBS News, Healthcare Finance, Politico and CNN.
