The Online Learning Support position at Cuyahoga Community College addresses 2nd and 3rd level support tickets for the LMS and supporting systems. Additional duties include Mediasite administration, and testing work in preparation for an upcoming LMS evaluation. The role has given me the opportunity to better understand the workings and limitations of Blackboard, and has allowed me to train on tools like Articulate, as well as receiving Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) training.

Innovation Lead for Learning Programs in the Office of Distance EducationThe Innovation Management team assesses learning technology software and hardware on a rotating basis and takes on assessment of new software and hardware solutions as directed by university leadership. I work with OCIO security and accessibility team members, LMS support desk staff, administration leaders, faculty, and students from across campus to thoroughly evaluate technologies. When a decision is made to go forward with a new or updated technology or service, I manage the evaluation, pilot, and implementation work with support staff, faculty, and other project stakeholders. Perform outreach to university IT thought leaders. Gather support communities for effective implementation and adoption of new technologies on campus. Other duties include collaborating with Unizin partner institutions through the Unizin Learning Technology Committee and the Data Analytics subcommittee. I also sit on with the Big 10 Academic Alliance Learning Technology Liaisons Committee.

I worked on the acquisition and customization of a Mobile Design Lab mobile classroom vehicle which travels around our Columbus and regional campuses providing coding and app design instruction as part of the Digital Flagship iPad project.Other work included collaborating on a logistics team charged with the packaging, distribution and setup of ~12,000 iPads directly to students during summer orientation on the central and regional campuses of Ohio State and evaluation work on classroom wireless projection and learning management system.

Lead evaluation role for campus-wide software and hardware projects. Projects included organizing an evaluation committee that evaluated and recommended a new LMS for Ohio State University, the evaluation and selection of a wireless projection solution for pool classrooms, and managing a committee that selected and piloted a centrally supported Student Response system. I also led the committee that selected and implemented a centrally supported Lecture Capture system.

In this role I managed a team of three full time staff and one grad student to effectively maintain the lab's software, hardware, video conference equipment, emerging technology explorations, and daily operations of the Digital Union. The Digital Union was a place where faculty could ask for assistance with their learning technology needs, and the interactions with faculty in this informal space were especially satisfying.Throughout this time my role at the DU included the evaluation and exploration of new technologies. Outreach events included collaboration with several CIC schools to present for Educause and took on projects including the creation of a grant funded MERLOT Best Instructional Practices site.

Maintained servers, printers, software images for 24 loaner laptops and 14 lab computers, including specific images for an audio recording space and music creation space in The Digital Union.Duties included collaborating with faculty on learning technology projects, managing resources, managing software and hardware budgets, and offering workshops to faculty on learning technology.
