Moving back into technology from operations, I managed a team of 6 staff in Chicago and 5 in New Jersey. We worked on both business-as-usual initiatives (such as annual vendor upgrades, exchange upgrades, new exchange roll outs, regulatory changes etc,) as well as many cleared OTC projects including new commissions structures, LCH and CME FX support, IRS reconciliation suites, environment integration and many others.
The data control team investigated and solved general ledger out of balances, data setup issues, new exchange ventures, designing in-house solutions for customer and internal processes among many other things. Personally I was also heavily involved in the cleared OTC project, helping the business, front office, testing and technology teams to implement full support for these new asset classes at BAML.
The PP team enhance the SunGard GMI derivatives platform for new exchange, regulatory and business initiatives.I spent one year in the London office where I wrote requirements to support MiFID, LCH freight options, EEX energy derivatives, RTS and MICEX, LIFFE Credit Default Swaps among other things. After moving to the US, I spent a further 2 and a half years working on CME's CDS and IRS offerings, LCH IRS, NASDAQ OMX, and various Eurex releases.
