He launched new products and services including Education One™ loans, internet loan originations through Quicken, Lending Tree and Wingspan, Chase Picks Up the TabSM and 1% Mortgage Cash Back®, and drove both the Bank One brand and the Chase brand to lead the banking category in household growth from 2003-2009.Clifton was General Manager for Young & Laramore Advertising from 1985 to 1997, where he directed marketing strategies and campaigns for accounts including Mayflower, Steak n Shake, Red Gold Tomatoes and NutraSweet. Inventor on several patents, Clifton earned a MBA in Marketing from Indiana University, Executive Education at Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, and a bachelor's in Engineering from Purdue.Now residing in Bluffton, South Carolina and Lewis Center, Ohio, Clifton serves as a guest lecturer, Executive in Residence at Purdue University and past Board Chair for the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
